I’ve been on the go. I can’t wait to share with you about the fun I had in Chicago. SO MUCH FOOD. SO MUCH FUN. BRAIN OVERLOAD. But today, I’m just to excited and need to share the here and now!!!!
I just found out that Shaun T is coming out with a new workout program and I’m going to get my hands on that puppy hot off the press no waiting. EEEEK.
I took on Cize, T-25 and my all time fave, Insanity Max:30. I’ve had amazing results and he keeps it fun, so how can I not be excited?! If you’ve done his programs, you know what I mean.
I’ve been living a healthier lifestyle and loving the results. I’m enjoying life. Not every day is perfect but when you eat right and score those daily workouts, you just flat out live happy.

Well. I had all the excuses running through my head this morning. Ever let those excuses win? They almost did, but I’m competitive and couldn’t let that happen.
Here were my top 3⃣ excuses this morning:
🖓I have 0⃣ energy
🖓I’m too sore from yesterday’s workout
🖓I’ll be teaching fitness classes tonight so why bother
Well too bad 🐥. Get off your duff and get moving. Challenge those muscles and work through the soreness. That’s how you get stronger. So what if you are teaching tonight. That workout is for them, not you. Your personal workouts matter. Getting that sweat on gives you energy. Quit making excuses and get it done…..so I did. And, guess what?
I’m not sore anymore. I worked on me so class will be all about them. Oh, now I’m zipping around the house feeling energized for the day.

I’m not usually good about deviating from my list. Every once in awhile, it just can’t be helped. Today was one of those days. I was zipping along to tackle my list before noon and I notice 2 cars in the parking lot at the strawberry fields. I’ve been waiting for them to open and BOOM, they were open. Naturally, I had to take advantage of the situation. This chick turned the car around at the next light and headed back to get in on that action. It was early and the weather was just perfect for picking.
They were perfectly sweet and just the right size and ripeness I enjoy. I loaded up my bucket with my fresh picks and got right back to my list. I got to enjoy the smell of fresh strawberries while attending to the rest of my errands. I was tempted to nibble on them but managed to stay distracted long enough to get them home safe and sound. Now I have some in the fridge and frozen to keep me happy for awhile.
I love this time of year! So much fun stuff to do in the spring weather. Have you been strawberry picking yet?

Don’t you just love that feeling you get when you know you’ve helped someone? I think that is my favorite part of being an online coach. I help people find the tools they need to be successful, I encourage them to believe in themselves and to keep trying. I am making great friends along the way and helping other people build their own businesses, too.
Being my own boss gives me the flexibility I need to work at the Pregnancy Resource Center, volunteer at my church and spend time with family and friends. Now that is cool. All the things I love and I still get to run my own biz. #winning

I love being reminded that each minute brings us the opportunity to make a healthy choice. In one minute YOU can do anything. So a few months ago I took on Core De Force. I wanted to give kickboxing / mixed martial arts a try. Well, I just couldn’t connect with this program like I hoped. The kicking was awkward for me. I spent so much time trying to just get the moves to flow. I showed up though, every day because:
- I made a commitment
- I’m not a quitter
- Practice helps us grow and learn
- I wanted this shirt!! 😂
Not sorry I spent 30 days trying to learn something new. I’m stronger and I learned about me, how my body moves and what motivates me. Time well spent.
With all that said, I just had to have fun with my new shirt. I fought hard to earn this. I’m wearing it as a reminder that I didn’t quit.

I love the crispy weather and the crunchy sound the leave make when I’m hiking. The weather was perfect for a five mile hike at Tesnatee Gap in North Georgia. The color wasn’t spectacular, but there were hints of yellow, orange and red among the brown leaves. The drought sure has put a damper on the autumn canvas this year. That aside, we had a fun day on the trail taking in the beauty of the season.
This was our first time hiking this side of the AT. Lots of switchbacks and loose rocks. The leaves made it a challenge sometimes but it was fun and I didn’t bust my rump or twist my ankle!! We trekked along at a pretty good pace, too. We stopped along the way to enjoy the sites. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to grab a few planks for fun. Props to Mike for finding just the right view!!
We wandered on until we found the perfect spot to enjoy our lunch. I’ll take this view over a stuffy office any day…..
We found a few bursts of red leaves and a green one hanging on for deer life not wanting to give way to the autumn weather.
At the end of the day, my feet were tired but my boots sure were glad to get some trail dust on them!
Now to decide on our next big hike!
